Yayasan Bio Konservasi Indonesia (BioKon) was established in 2021, originating from our involvement in supporting the rehabilitation of eagles at the Pusat Suaka Satwa Elang Jawa (PSSEJ). Over time, the need for rescue and recovery efforts has continued to grow, along with the increasing threats faced by wildlife in the wild. Through our work in eagle rehabilitation, we realized that concern for wildlife and the environment should not remain in one place, but must be shared more widely so that more people can understand and take part in conservation efforts.

Driven by this spirit, BioKon applies a science based approach combined with cross sector collaboration. We work together with researchers, conservation practitioners, local communities, government institutions, and volunteers to create relevant and impactful solutions. For us, conservation is not only about protecting nature, but also about building partnerships, learning together, and strengthening the role of humans as part of the ecosystem.

At this stage, BioKon runs three main programs: Eagle Rehabilitation, Eco-Education Tourism, and Biodiversity Surveys. Through these programs, we aim to contribute to wildlife protection, raise environmental awareness, and strengthen the relationship between people and nature. We envision a future where conservation is not the responsibility of only a few, but a shared movement built on knowledge, care, and a sense of collective responsibility.
